  1. What amenities are available?

    Our co-ed 500 square foot Hammam Steam room is our main amenity for guest use. We provide wraps, robes, slippers, and guest lockers for personal items. We do not have a pool or public Jacuzzi.
    Complimentary fresh fruit, beverages and teas are available in our Tea Lounge. Lunch may be ordered during your visit with us. Inquire with one of our Spa Coordinators.

    Our change rooms are stocked with all of the items you’ll need post-services. Shower products, hair products, styling tools, body lotion, mouthwash, and other small amenity items are available for use.
    Visit the Boutique at Hammam Spa to find products for yourself or the perfect gift for someone special.

  2. Am I eligible to use the Hammam Steam Room?

    Use of the Hammam Steam Room is at the discretion of each of our guests. High temperatures may harm persons who are elderly, have heart disease, diabetes, or with high or low blood pressure. Children under 16 are not permitted in the Hammam. Speak with your physician prior to use.

    Use of the Hammam Steam Room is prohibited for women who are pregnant as the heat may cause a risk to you and your baby. If you are joining us while pregnant, we are happy to place a credit note on your file to return for a Complimentary Hammam visit after you have delivered your baby.

  3. Can I use the Hammam Steam Room if I don’t have services booked?

    Yes. A drop-in rate of $55 is available for use of the Hammam Steam Room only. The Hammam Steam Room is offered complimentary for guests with services valued above $100.

    *NOTE: The Hammam Steam facilities open and close 30 minute before the spa’s operating hours.

  4. When should I arrive for my appointment?

    Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your treatment so you can relax, enjoy a refreshment and prepare for your treatment to begin on time.

    First time guests are advised to arrive a half hour prior to their services to allow time to fill out a Health History Form. This form will outline information that will enable your Therapist to provide you with the most appropriate and effective service. Please let your Therapist know if you have any special physical or medical needs, conditions, or considerations.

    Guests wishing to use the Hammam Steam Room prior to services are welcome to arrive as early as they’d like.

  5. What do I wear?

    Upon arriving at Hammam Spa, you will be provided with a robe, a wrap and a pair of slippers. During all treatments your body will be fully draped except for the area being worked on in order to protect your modesty.

    For wet room treatments, we recommend bringing a two piece bathing suit for women, or swim trunks for men. For all other services, you may undress completely beneath your wrap and robe.

    The Hammam Steam Room is a co-ed facility, and wraps or bathing suits are mandatory. Nudity is not permitted.

  6. Where do I store my items?

    Guests of Hammam Spa will be provided with a digital locker in which to store personal belongings while escaping with us. Hammam Spa is not responsible for loss or theft of personal property.

  7. Are cell phones permitted?

    In consideration of preserving a peaceful environment, Hammam Spa requests that guests and clients silence their cell phones prior to entering the spa.

  8. Are there age restrictions for services?

    Guests under the age of 16 are eligible to receive facial treatments and nail care only when accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, and excludes Hammam Steam Room use for safety considerations.

  9. Are your Massage Therapists Registered?

    Yes. All of our Massage Therapists are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. At the end of your massage treatment, you will be provided with a registered receipt to submit along with your itemized receipt to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

  10. What is your Cancellation Policy?

    Due to the popularity and demand for Hammam Spa’s services, we appreciate your understanding and co-operation of our 24 hour Cancellation Policy. If you have booked a treatment(s) and need to cancel or make any changes to your booking(s), you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

    Cancellations or no-shows with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at full value. Groups and Parties cancellation policy must notify us one week in advance of the booking.

    Arriving late will simply limit the time of your treatment. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed, and the full value of your treatment will be applied.

  11. Do you have parking?

    Given our central location, we regrettably cannot offer parking. Surface lots are available one block East of the Spa on King Street, as well as one block North on Portland Street.

  12. How do I get to you using TTC?

    Hammam Spa is located on the North West corner of King and Portland, on the lower level.

    If taking the TTC on the Yonge-University Line, take the subway to St. Andrews Station and the 504 King streetcar westbound to the Portland St. stop.
    If taking the Bloor-Danforth Line, take the subway to Bathurst Station and take the 510 Bathurst streetcar southbound to King Street, walking one block East.
